VROD front brake disc with satin finish

by Editor on 02/18/25

Thought I'd try sanding the brake disc with only 220 grit for a "Satin look" then test fit it on the bike to see how it would play off the polished wheel and the OEM finish of the lower legs.

Vrod engine with COLONY CHROME hardware

by Editor on 02/15/25

Pulled off the exhaust system to replace the header seals and in doing so had easy access to the hard to reach OEM allen head hardware on the clutch cover and water pump cover. Replaced all those bolts and washers with chrome ones from the COLONY CHROME Complete Motor Allen Show Bike Kit 2002-2006 VRODS part number: 1021-P

I want to BUY a 2005 VRSCSE CVO VROD. Do you have one for sale?

by Editor on 02/13/25

I'm looking to PURCHASE a BLUE Harley-Davidson VRSCSE CVO V-ROD motorcycle like in these photos. (I may also consider the same bike in red or orange)
I'm located in the south Okanagan of British Columbia Canada so I'd like a Canadian bike that is in KHP instead of the US bikes in MPH. If you are not close to my location we can set up a video chat where you can do a walk around video and show me certain areas I want to see. Shipping can be arranged.

If you have one that you want to sell please scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on the contact link and email me your info.

*PLEASE NOTE
I meant to say the sensor strip gets gummed up not "oxidation."

VROD upper belt guard trimmed, sanded and polished

by Editor on 02/08/25

Had an extra OEM black upper belt guard & wanted to see how it would look trimmed down & sanded/polished.
Glad I tried it, shows the pulley & wheel more
First of two cuts, first one allowed me to layout the semi circle, then lay out the same angle as the shock.

2005 Harley-Davidson VRSCSE CVO VROD in BLUE. walk around video

by Editor on 01/28/25

This two tone candy blue and dark blue 2005 Harley-Davidson VRSCSE CVO VROD is the rarest colour of all CVO produced in 2005 or 2006.
There were only 446 made in this colour and out of that:
  • 325 were domestic USA
  • 36 were for California guidelines
  • 65 were International (assuming in kilometres but depends on country sent to. No information available on exact numbers of KPH and MPH)
  • 20 were sent to Canada. (This is one of them)

VROD saddlebags for sale. Genuine Harley Davidson

by Editor on 01/27/25

For sale: Genuine Harley-Davidson leather saddlebag package. fits 02-06 VRODS
ALL MOUNTING HARDWARE INCLUDED
Right mounting bracket
Left mounting bracket
"'U" shaped rear mounting bracket that holds the L&R brackets safely and securely in place.
Genuine HD upper shock mounting brackets (not some home made part)
All nuts bolts & washers.
Left saddlebag: Zipper in good working condition, snaps are intact but the leather has shrunk so they don't marry. (will need to be soaked in water & stretched to snap, then let dry) Velcro in good working condition and holds the bag lid closed.
Right saddlebag: Zipper in good working condition, snaps are intact but the leather has shrunk so they don't marry. (will need to be soaked in water & stretched to snap, then let dry) Velcro in good working condition and holds the bag lid closed.
Both saddlebags show fading & could use a good leather conditioning treatment, few marks, scuffs & can be contributed to normal usage. Stitching, seams, rivets, snaps and Harley-Davidson emblems in good condition.
*Please note: I have talked to a leather expert, shown him the video and he recommended, conditioning the leather lids with a good quality leather conditioner to make them supple, then soak the areas around the snaps (no need to soak all of the lid) & massage, work & stretch those areas until the snaps close, then let dry. He said patience is key and the results will be favourable.
Remember these bags can be, and have been, "used as is" and are ready to go. The velcro holds the lids in place, but of course the 4 snaps closing would be ideal.
I can & will provide Genuine Harley-Davidson installation instructions.
Video chat is mandatory before I will consider selling them to anyone. This will reassure both the buyer & myself that we are both real, legitimate and serious.

Price now is $950USD + shipping & PayPal fees.
(BUT If I go buy the leather cleaner, conditioner & spend the time to work the leather so it's supple and allow for all 4 snaps connect, I will wait & re-list them for MORE in the Spring/Summer)
As you can see by the video (Remember to select 1080P for best video playback quality) I go into great detail & lengths to show any potential buyers exactly what they are getting.

by Editor on 12/18/24

This is a great combo: AutoSol polish & a Mothers buff-ball

The results of not sanding and only polishing this 2003 Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary VRSCA VROD rear wheel came out very well.

Stripping a VROD rear wheel

by Editor on 12/17/24

Very grateful that the five compensator bolts and the five brake disc bolts were removed without braking or stripping of threads. Seen many posts where that has happened to people.
