Motorcycle riding pants

by Editor on 07/03/10

I stopped wearing jeans while riding years ago, once you find yourself a good pair of riding pants it's unlikely you'll go back. The ones I wear are the Cascade Extreme heated pants made by Gerbing's Heated Clothing. They have a heated lining that is removable on hot days, it packs well, leaving you with an outer shell with two thigh pockets, Velcro boot cuff, a zipper that goes the length of the pant to the hip, zippers into matching jacket, padded hips, and armor protection on the knees. When it gets cold out the liners fall into place with ease, the Velcro tabs hold them securely in place and the warmth felt when you plug in is impressive. The pants shell is Durable and abrasion resistant 330 Denier Cordura shell and the knees are 1000 Denier ballistic fabric. I've worn these in all kinds of weather conditions, over many miles, and have washed them countless times. Riding pants are the only way to go in my opinion, and these ones are excellent.
