M-Sonic 800BH Bluetooth Helmet Headset System
I've been using the M-Sonic 800BH Bluetooth Helmet Headset System features for a while now, and have been enjoying the intercom for rider to passenger, rider to rider, and as a music player. Now that I have an smart phone, an iPhone 3gs, I can finally use the Bluetooth feature to accept and make calls.

Bluetooth phone test
For this feature a iPhone 3gs was used and it recognized the M-Sonic Bluetooth device right away.
- I
really like how easy this is to use, incoming phone calls are
automatically put through with nothing to do other than to say Hello.
After the call press the T button and the call is ended, it's as simple
as that. Pressing the T button once and it will call the last number
dialed, or missed call and when it's held it down for a couple of
seconds it will activate the iPhones voice control. I gave the command:
Call office, and just like that it dialed and connected me to the
office.
- the
first four test calls were done in the driveway with the bike running
to familiarize myself with the process and the functions of the button
and the voice command option.
- The
second test was done while riding to test out wind noise and the call
was clear and crisp at 50-80 kph. Still clear and pretty crisp at 80-110
kph just with wind noise from going that speed. Incoming calls worked
very well but at higher speeds the voice commands worked, but I had to
give the commands a couple of time to get the right name and number
dialed. This is from the wind noise and is definitely understandable. As
a rider you know how much wind noise there is at higher speeds, so
definitely not a big deal.
- The sound from the speakers in my helmet was quite impressive, crisp and clear even at high volume with no distortion.
- The T button is easy to use with gloves on, all of the buttons are a good size and well spaced.
The only way they can improve on this product is if it could miraculously give me better cell reception ; )
