It's finally arrived after a long journey from Nova Scotia to British Columbia...
Shot a quick video on my iPhone moments after the bike was delivered.
This 2005 Harley Davidson V-Twin Racing Street Custom Screamin Eagle, Custom Vehicle Operations VROD is the rarest of all in this colour. Only 446 were produced in this beauty two tone dark candy teal and light candy teal, but only 20 were sent to Canada.

VROD prepped for storage

Hard to believe that it's that time of the year already but it is...
I've done a full detail OCD cleaning and polishing on our carbon fiber VROD, jacked it up, strapped it down, attached a battery tender and covered it up.
I still have to go buy some fuel stabilizer but once that's done this bike will be ready for hibernation.

Now it's time to thank the good folks at Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson in Kelowna British Columbia Canada, and especially the service manage Janice Lautard. She played a key role in making this deal happen by allowing me to have the bike shipped to GADH, do the un-crating and arranging transportation to have the bike delivered to me early next week. Also gotta give a shout out to TJ for his help yesterday and last but not least CJ for providing me with this picture of the bike. All of your help is greatly appreciated and your customer service is outstanding!

Day and Ross shipping

A big shout out goes to the folks at Day and Ross shipping, that was the company that safely and securely transported the motorcycle I bought on the other side of the country. They picked it up at Privateers Harley-Davidson in Halifax Nova Scotia and delivered it to Gasoline Alley in Kelowna for a distance of 5,494 kilometers.
VROD Saddlebags for sale

For sale: Genuine Harley Davidson VROD nylon saddlebags and all mounting hardware.
We have had a long stretch of rainy weather here so I decided to take the saddlebags and all the mounting hardware off my bike. I shot this video and pictures just before I went ahead and bubble wrapped the saddlebag frame, made cardboard holders for the mounts and cut down a box to the smallest size allowable to save money on the shipping.

Both the "What's in the box" and the "What's under the cover" posts went over well so it lead me to believe you would like to play along a little more...
Many of you will be able to look at this sketch of the bike and correctly guess the make and model but the question in this round of "How to drive people crazy" is "What's the year and colour"?

There's a certain amount of trust needed to buy a motorcycle from someone you never met before over the internet...
So many variables to consider, is this person trustworthy? Is the bike in the condition it appears in the pictures? How am I going to get the bike to me when I'm 5,494 kilometers away? These are just some of the many questions that need to be asked and answered....
I would like to give a huge shout out to the folks at Privateers Harley-Davidson in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada, and especially to Matthew Stolk the service manager. He played an instrumental role in helping provide a safe and neutral place for myself and the seller of a motorcycle to complete the transaction.
Here's what we did: After the seller sent me many detailed pictures and gave me the history of ownership I was definitely interested in the bike and his price was fair. Next the seller took the bike to Privateers HD, Matthew called me said the bike is here. I paid the gentleman for his bike and after he confirmed that the funds were in his account he went back to Privateers HD with the key, paperwork and released the bike. Next Matthew's team crated up the bike, arranged for it to be picked up by a trucking company and it's now on it's way to me. It'll take approximately 10 days for it to get here but I'm going to go sit in the driveway and wait just incase it shows up early... LOL.
Once again, thank Matthew, your customer service and professionalism is outstanding Sir.
... and to the seller, you Sir were a true gentleman to deal with and I appreciate the opportunity to be the next custodian of this motorcycle.
Any guesses what year, make and model it is?
