Vrod chrome rotor bolts
by Editor on 11/18/22
Sooooooooo, I'm going through Diane's drawer looking for more detailing tools: Toothbrush, Q-Tips, rubbing alcohol, etc.
(still don't know why she keeps VROD cleaners in her bathroom, anyways)...
I find these hidden under a towel, she's either building her own bike or I found my Christmas present.

2005 Harley-Davidson VRSCSE CVO V-ROD Chrome Swingarm. Part number 48422-05
by Editor on 11/12/22
For sale: Genuine 2005 Harley-Davidson VRSCSE CVO V-ROD Chrome Swingarm. Part number 48422-05
Please see the pic for condition:
There are marks from when the chrome axle covers were on. (If you have a set to install the marks won't be an issue). Some of the chrome flaked off on the inside of the swingarm from where the tire shot road debris. On the brake calliper mount there is a bubble in the chrome and also copper plating showing from the calliper itself. It does come with the pivot bearing but it needs replacing.
I took this off of my blue CVO because I found a BNIB/NOS one.
Price: $240USD + shipping & all PayPal fees

2005 VRSCSE CVO VROD Blue
by Editor on 11/10/22
Happy anniversary to the Money pit.
It was a year ago today that my 2005 VRSCSE CVO VROD arrived, I rode it for an hour and a half that day and not a minute since.
*In the video it looks "Good from far, but it's far from good ! If it wasn't such a rare bike I would have bailed on it...
So many issues with the bike both mechanically and cosmetically that it sat in my garage waiting for the long list of parts to arrive. This bike is my number one project this Winter and will be ready in the Spring.
I will never, ever, buy another bike without seeing it in person again, learned a very valuable lesson with this...

Explorer GPS
by Editor on 10/26/22
Good news, bad news...
A few weeks ago I lost my InReach Explorer GPS Roadpost Inc. while riding my motorcycle. (Yes I understand the irony) Made a post on our social media networks but unfortunately that yielded no results.
But then last night I received an email from Garmin that it had been found and told me where I could pick it up.
I was beyond happy to get this wonderful news from Garmin and very grateful to the Good Samaritan who found it.
Okay now for the bad news...
I picked it up today and as you can see in this picture the plastic piece broke off the back of the orange case that slides into to clip, which was attached to the belt on the left side of my jacket. That plastic piece must have broke while I was riding (probably when shifting gears) and when it was bouncing down the road the display screen cracked from the multiple impacts to the pavement....
Unfortunately it is now unusable...
I've had this Explorer for many years and ridden a lot of miles with it allowing our viewers to track our rides and see all the additional stats it provides. One of the things I will miss the most is the piece of mind it gave me knowing I was only a push of the SOS button (satellite network) away if I ever had an accident and needed help, or if I rode up to someone else in a similar situation needing medical assistance.
So like I said at the beginning, good news, bad news...

Chrome swing arm for VROD
by Editor on 10/08/22
Very happy to have found this brand new in the box chrome swing arm (rear fork) for the 2005 VRSCSE CVO V-ROD. The one currently on the bike has flakey chrome on the inside from road debris hitting it and a few small bubbles under the chrome on the outside that was more noticeable.
VROD motorcycle at Area 27 Motorsport Park

Beautiful metal Eagle sculpture at the entrance to Area 27 Motorsport Park in the south Okanagan. Area 27 Motosports Park
I was going to pull right up to it for the pic but the ground look soft, hoped off the bike to check and sure enough WAY TOO SOFT....
Sure glad I looked before I leaped...
Wildfire aftermath
by Editor on 10/01/22
Yesterday I had the opportunity to ride up Green Mountain Road that runs between Keremeos and Penticton where the Keremeos wildfire raged on...
I shut the bike off and stayed here for 15 minutes or so taking it all in, I could still smell the burnt wood even though it was extinguished quite some time ago. It was silent here, no birds singing only the occasional car or motorcycle going by...
It was an awful sight to see first hand realizing the what the brave firefighters must have gone through saving homes & structures in the area....
