Why take off a brand new set of tires on a brand new motorcycle?
Over the last 4 years I have been riding exclusively on Avon Cobra touring tyres and they are by far the best tyres I've ridden on. So when we started this bike build with Kamloops Harley-Davidson to build the Ultimate V-Rod Muscle Touring bike the first thing I wanted to do was switch the stock tires to Avon Cobras!
You might find this hard to believe but it's true, I was able to get 25,000 kms of life out of one set of Cobras on our 2003 Vrod, funny though, the next set had 2,000 kms before I ran over a nail/screw and had to replace the rear. But of course that no fault of the tyre it's just one of those things...
One of the best things about these Cobras tyres is you get incredible mileage out of them but you also get unbelievable traction and handling too! The rubber compound they use give you the best of both worlds!
